

He was born Jan. 16, 1931 in Minter City, MS to Ernest and Virginia (Townse) House. He married Lillie Mae Jackson on Dec. 11, 1950 in Sumner, MS. After 57 years of marriage Lillie Mae passed away on March 13, 2007 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son, Lee Andrew House, one sister, and three brothers.
Survivors include four daughters: Bessie M. (Owen) Warfield, Shirley J. House, Debra G. House, and Linda S. House all of Peoria, three sons: Don E. (Cheryl) House of Peoria, Michael L. House of Oshkosh, WI, Mark A. House of Las Vegas, NV, 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one sister, Marguriete Smith of St. Louis, MO.
Eddie worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 25 years retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Local 974, and was a member and very active in the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. In 2004 Eddie and his wife won the Iris award in recognition of outstanding beautification of their home, presented to them by the Peoria City Council. For years Eddie was known for hauling junk or scrap metal, which today we call recycling.
Funeral services will be Saturday April 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Parkview Cemetery.
