She was born February 14, 1928 in Peoria Heights to Leonard and Daisy (Billings) Witherell. She married Lucian Barrett on October 12, 1946 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1993. Her parents; one brother, Leonard "Sonny" Witherell and two sisters, Cleta Breymeier and Charlotte Allen also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, Patrick (Mary) Barrett of East Peoria; seven grandchildren, Stevy (Jason) Wallenfang of Chillicothe, Alix Barrett of Peoria Heights, Jennifer Ziegenhorn of Pekin, Taylor, Hunter, Kaytlun, and Kohlton Barrett all of East Peoria.
Edna was a School Bus Driver with Peoria Charter Coach for many years before retiring in 1988. She enjoyed shopping and traveling but most of all she loved taking care her husband and family and spending time with her grandchildren.
A private family burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
