Edward Picton

He was born January 10, 1926 in St. David, IL to Clyde and Isabelle (McIntosh) Picton. He married Norma Hiett on February 23, 1946 in Peoria. .

Surviving are his wife of East Peoria; 2 children, Marilee (Stephen) Colli of Morton and Kenneth (Sylvia) Picton of Orlando, FL; 9 grandchildren, Joseph, Krista, James, Timothy, Allen, Erin, Lindsay, Andrew and Andrea; 9 great grandchildren and 1 brother, William Picton of Bartonville.

He was preceded in death by a son, David, grandson William, granddaughter Amy, brother John and sisters Catherine and Leanore.

Edward was a loan manager with several area businesses over a 40 year career, retiring in 1986.

He attended Bradley University and was a Charter member of the Rho Delta fraternity.

He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran and a member of Amercian Legion Post #2 and Amvets, both in Peoria.

He was also a member St Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria and the Peoria Lions Club. He enjoyed bowling and was addicted to golf.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Davison – Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Memorials may be made to the Peoria Lions Club.
