Elizabeth "Betty" Jean Blase

She was born to Elmer and Elizabeth Lawson on July 17, 1919 in Rome, Illinois. They preceded her in death.

Betty married Edwin Blase on October 21, 1939 in Princeton, Illinois. He preceded her in death.

Betty worked in her father’s grocery store for 23 years and then at Mannering’s Men’s Wear, retiring in 1986.

She is survived by her two children, Robert (Judy) Blase of Grand Rapids, MN, and Sheryl Wynkoop of Pekin, Illinois; and two granddaughters, Suzanne (Ray) Baumruk and Danielle (Todd) Witherill. Also surviving are 5 great-grandchildren, Jack Baumruk, Spencer Baumruk, Jordan Witherill, Dana Witherill and Kayla Witherill.

She was preceded in death by one daughter,Suzanne; three sisters, Dorothea Mannering, Edna Tate, and Elmyra Koch-Pelz; one brother Elmer Lawson Jr.; and a son-in-law, Ernest Wynkoop.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 West Willow Knolls Dr. There will be a visitation one hour prior.

Burial will follow the funeral services at Chillicothe City Cemetery.
