

PEORIA - Elizabeth Hines, 74, of Peoria passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 1:05 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.She was born August 20, 1942, in Widener, AR, the daughter of Willie and Elizabeth Adams McCoy. She married Joseph L. Hines. She later married James Beasley. He preceded her in death.Elizabeth is survived by one son, Derrick McCoy; five daughters, Ronda Hines, Sandra Hines, Angelia D Hines-Moore, Jorita (Edward Sr.) Funches and Stephanie (Poppy) Green, all of Peoria, IL; four stepsons, James Beasley Jr., Duane Beasley, Terry Beasley and Tyus Jackson, all of Peoria, IL; one stepdaughter, Teresa Tolliver of Peoria, IL; two god-daughters, JoAnn (Kenny) Adams-Anderson of Peoria, IL, and Michelle Boone-Coleman of Florissant, MO; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Bernice Ross and Hattie Henderson, both of Detroit, MI; one brother, Johnny McCoy of Chicago, IL; favorite cousin, Irma Jean Lee; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister and one grandson, David L. Green Jr.Elizabeth was a certified nursing assistant for many years and retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. after over 20 years of service.She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, previous Missionary and President of the Women's Mission Society and active supporter of the Youth Department at The Church of the Living God LBLC #1. When she migrated to Peoria, her home church was The Church of the Living God Temple 130. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, at The Church of the Living God Temple 130, located at 2815 W. Lake Ave., Peoria, IL. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friends and extended family will have an opportunity to give words of encouragement and share memories during this time. Officiating Pastor will be the Rev.
