Elsie L. Thompson

Elsie L. Thompson, age 79, of Peoria, passed away Wed. June 10, 2015 at 8:58 a.m. at Liberty Village in Peoria. She was born Nov. 11, 1935 in Peoria to Paul and Ioline (Koerner) Checklin. She married Billie Thompson Nov. 26, 1972 in Peoria. He passed away April 26, 1995 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Checklin and one nephew, Clinton Seiler. Survivors include one sister, Junette Seiler of Peoria, one nephew, Stephen (Lois) Seiler of Peoria, one niece, Judy (Tom) Reiter of Bloomington, two great-nephews: Clinton (Krysten) Reiter of Bloomington, Joseph (Jianna) Seiler of Iowa, and two great-nieces: Cynthia Reiter of Bloomington and Jennifer Seiler of Metamora. Elsie was the Accounting Manager at Burklund Distributing working there for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Parkview United Church of Christ, the Eastern Star, and Jobs Daughters. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Rev. Steve Barch will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
