Esther Kay "Este" Moore

Esther Kay "Este" Moore, 74, of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Hawthorne Inn at Liberty Village of Peoria. She was born on October 23, 1948 in Terre Haute, Indiana, a daughter of Herman Kuhn and Lois (Pernow) Kuhn. Este married Robert Leslie Moore, Jr. on January 26, 1973 in Peoria. He survives.

She is also survived by her two sons, Ryan (Brandy) Moore and Chris (Tracy) Moore, both of Peoria; five grandchildren, Seth, Parker, Casey, Lucas and Adalynn; one brother, Robert Kuhn of Peoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Este was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; four sisters; and her granddaughter, Lilly Anne.

She was a graduate of Manual High School, Class of 1966. Este graduated nursing school with the highest score in her Illinois State Board Class.

She was state registered as a licensed practical nurse and worked for Methodist Hospital. Este then transitioned into working in private practice for the majority of her nursing career, retiring in 2010.

Este was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria, where she helped teach Sunday school.

She enjoyed bowling, needlework, reading and especially vacations to the American west and Florida east coast.

Este's family has arranged a memorial service that will be on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Pastor Bob Jordan will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, also on Wednesday at her church.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria.
