Evabeth Stone

She was born April 7, 1918 in Peoria to Carl and Beatrice (Lunsford) Springer. She married Duane G. Stone in Peoria on February 3, 1943. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary (Stewart) White of Phoenix, AZ.

Surviving are one son, Michael D. (Nancy) Stone of Dunlap and daughter, Kathy S. (Fredric) Roland of Peoria. Grandchildren are Emily (Brice) Lahl of Palatine, Ryan Stone of Dunlap, Rev. Christopher Roland of Peoria, and Lindsey (Steaven) Nieratka of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Also surviving is one great-granddaughter, Claire Lahl; two nieces, Christine (Jack) Rainey of Peoria, Susan Whetstone of Peoria; and one nephew, Greg White of Phoenix, AZ.

Evabeth graduated from Peoria High School and Brown’s Business College. She worked for several years as a secretary in the Electrical Engineering Department at Bradley University.

She was a member of Arcadia Ave. Presbyterian Church, now United Presbyterian Church in Peoria.

Cremation has been accorded. A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria with Rev. Stephen McKinney-Whitaker officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria following the services.
