

She was married to Edward Earl Vineyard of TN, and then to Glenn D. Koch, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Lynn Wampler; granddaughters, Christine L. Watkins, Stephanie L. Avina, Stacy L. Leavitt, and Kelly L. Hamby; eight great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and Oran Thomas's daughters, Brenda Flynn, Sheila Ray, and Cheryl Hanerhoff and their families. Aside from her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Vineyard Waters; son, James Edward Vineyard; siblings, Jesse Herbert Robbins, Jr., Lillian Terrell-Corey, Juanita Freeman, William "Carl" Robbins, Shirley Jean Bright, and James Gary "Jimmy" Robbins; and her significant other, Oran Thomas.
After high school, Evelyn received her diploma from Lenoir City Business School in 1946. She worked and managed many restaurants in Peoria. She also served as a bookkeeper and secretary for various organizations. She was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church and past madam president of the Order of Eastern Star - Chillicothe #178, and past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #265.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the funeral home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of donor's choice.
