Everett “Buck” Scales, 86, of Peoria, IL passed away Tuesday December 21, 2010. Buck was born May 22, 1924 in Beason, IL to James and Ona Scales. He later married Leann J. Handegan on June 18, 1946 in Peoria, IL.
Surviving is his wife Leann of Peoria, three sons; Crow (Cathy) Scales of West Peoria, Ronnie (Lisa) Scales of Peoria, David (Linda) Scales of Peoria, a daughter Kathy Brown of Colchester, IL, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Buck was preceded in death by a grandson Matthew, two brothers, and two sisters.
Buck was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters for over thirty years. He was a veteran of the Air Force and worked at the Air National Guard in Bartonville for a short time. Buck was also a member of the Great Western Boat Club in Peoria.
Visitation will be Monday December 27, 2010 from 6 – 8 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the Peoria V.A. Clinic. View Buck’s life story at www.Davison-Fulton.com
