She was born on September 25, 1922 in Mason City, IL, to Ralph and Charlotte (Becker) Tomlin. She married Edward A. Shields in Mason City, IL. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are her two daughters, Sandra (Roger) Bisanz of Washington and Vicki Shields of Peoria.
Faye worked as an office clerk for Armour Meat Packing in Peoria for several years before leaving to raise a family. She was a former member of the Creve Coeur Christian Church and New Horizon Christian Church in Ocoee, FL.
Cremation will be accorded and a celebration of life visitation will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 5 to 7 pm, with a memorial service following the visitation at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha, FL.
