Frank Richard "Dick" Crandell

Dick was born on August 27, 1930 in Peoria, Illinois to Harry David and Arline Elizabeth (Walhquist) Crandell. He married Marlene June LeMaitre on April 27, 1957 in Peoria.

Dick is survived by his wife, Marlene; his children, Lori (Mike) Winter of Mapleton, IL and Richard “Rick” (Susan) Crandell of Bartonville, IL; five grandchildren, Jennifer (TJ) Winter, Jacob (Shonna) Winter, Samuel Crandell, Shawn Crandell and Karys Crandell; his sister, Mary (Gib) Russell of Peoria, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald.

Dick retired as General Manager from George O. Pasquel in 1999, after 50 years. Dick was a member of St. Andrew’s Cathedral where he was also a lay minister. He was an avid bowler, playing on several bowling leagues and was also very proud of his 299 bowling score. He was also Captain of the Ad Club League. Dick was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching golf. He was a life long Chicago Cubs Fan.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Church in Peoria with Father Shawn Doubet officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 5pm to 7:00 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria as well as one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
