Fred V. Dagit, age 93, of Peoria, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at 10:58 p.m. at the Unity Point Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born Feb. 18, 1923 in East Peoria to Adam and Ethel Dagit. He married Mary Bale on Aug. 9, 1953 in Peoria. She passed away Jan. 7, 2013 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Richard, and three sisters: Dorothy, Midge, and Edith. Survivors include two daughters: Cathy (Mike) Parr and Ju dy Dagit all of Peoria, four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two brothers: Loren (Shirley) Dagit of Spring Bay, Don Dagit of Peoria, and one sister, Shirley Harris of Canton. Fred was a veteran of WWII. He was a member and worked out of the Sheet Metals Local # 1. Family services will be private with entombment being in Springdale Mausoleum.
