He was born November 16, 1944 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Frederick and Florence M. Reed Dey. On April 8, 1990 he married Marge Ensign at the First Baptist church in East Peoria.
Frederick is survived by his wife Marge Dey of Peoria, IL; three children, Tina Robinson (John) of Arcola, IN, Fred Dey Jr. of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Teresa Trendle of Ft. Wayne, IN; six grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; five sisters; and best friend, Ray Hyde of Peoria, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three great grandchildren.
He was a member of the East Peoria American Legion Post 123 and the American Disabled Vets. Fred enjoyed collecting different types of lights and had an extensive collection.
Frederick served his county in the United States Navy and was a member of the First Baptist church in East Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
