He was born December 19, 1944 in Chicago, IL the son of Chester Daniel and Anna Helen Kiebles Genge. He married Ann Durkee on August 15,1970 .
Frederick is survived by his wife of forty-eight years; two sons, Jeff (Brandi) Genge of Peoria and Jon (Becky) Genge of El Paso, TX; one daughter, Margaret Genge of West Peoria; five grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Chris) Genge of Libertyville, IL; one sister, Marianne (Jeff) Jagmin of South Barrington, IL;
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Erick Genge.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Peoria. Frederick was also a life member of Air Force Association and Civil Air Patrol.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Peoria.
Frederick was a teacher and coach at Peoria High School for over thirty-five years. He also taught at St. Mary’s in Kickapoo, ICC, and ISU. Frederick coached soccer, tennis, pole vaulting, and kickers with varsity boy’s football. He was instrumental in starting boy’s soccer and girl’s track. Frederick was a member of the Peoria Hall of Fame. He also worked at Uftring in Pekin, IL.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am December 24, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Father Thomas Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
