G. Darlene Cline

She was born on October 29, 1926 in Peoria, IL to Leon S. and Ilean (Bailey) Griffin. She married Joseph D. Sills who preceded her in death December 24, 1959. She then married Roy E. Cline on November 6, 1981 in Peoria. Her parents, one son, Terry Sills, one sister and one brother also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, Roy of Peoria, who was also her caregiver for the last several years, and Darlene said he was “One in a Million”, Three sons, Joseph (Barbara) Sills of Dunlap, Richard Sills of Peoria and Larry Sills of Chillicothe, one daughter, Jackie Giddens of Peoria and one step-daughter, Tracy F. Cline of Eureka, IL. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Darlene worked as a waitress from 1968 to 1987 at Kings Tavern and then as a manager at Rays Patio Inn in Peoria.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
