Geneva was born on July 22, 1935, in Blairsville, GA to Mary and Charles Brooks. Geneva married James A. Dozard in 1954. She worked and retired after 30 years at Caterpillar Tractor Company.
Surviving are her sons Andrew(Becky) Dozard of Mapleton, Illinois and Ron Dozard of East Peoria, Illinois. She has 4 granddaughters Kally(Steve) Blahnik, Katie(David) Engelke, Krissie(Tim) Flanagan, and Kirbie(Bret Cassidy) Holland. Seven great-grandchildren Aidan, Ryan, Blake, Boston, Francis, Elvis, and Mable.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Charles Brooks, husband James A. Dozard, daughter Nancy Dozard, sister Alma Nelson and cousin Peggy Gibson. Geneva was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church and found great joy in worshiping her Savior with her Christian family.
Geneva was a simple woman with a loving, kind, and generous heart who loved her family, first and foremost her sons. She was the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother anyone could ask for, and she will be missed greatly.
Visitation will be held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, 2021 North University Street, Peoria, IL 61604, US, on August 15, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. The following Graveside service will take place at Swan Lake Memory Gardens, 4601 W War Memorial Dr, Peoria, IL 61615, US.
