

He was born August 12, 1946 in Peoria to George A. and Doris (Hansen) Yetton, Sr. He married Brenda Pickett on August 3,1996 in Peoria. She survives along with four children: Jennifer (Tim) Hafele of Morton, Justin (Kim) Casey of Washington, IL, Tameka (Aaron) Washington of Chicago, Marvin Polnitz of Peoria, seven grandchildren, and two brothers: Dana (Gwen) Yetton of Peoria, and Robert (Faye) Yetton of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Randy Tetton.
George was a Sergeant in the United States Army serving in the Vietnam war. He was awarded the Bronze Star during this time.
Following his time in the military he worked as a Laborer working out of the Union Local 165, last working for Tazewell County Asphalt. He retired in 2010.
Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2026 from 10 to 12 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Military rites will take place at 12 Noon on Monday.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services with private burial in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
