Gladys Marion Neubert

Born September 17, 1928 in Belle Vernon, PA to Raymond and Hazel (Abrams) Waite; she married Fred Junior Neubert on September 4, 1949 in Belle Vernon. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2010 in Peoria.

Also preceding in death were her brothers, Raymond and Claude Waite and sister, Dorothy Carter.

Surviving are her children, Fred (Jeanie) Neubert of Knoxville, IL, Jim (Stacey) Neubert of Peoria, Michael (Kathi) Neubert of Herrin, IL, Susan (the late Ronald) Presley of Pullman, MI and Paul (Tammie) Neubert of King George, VA; 15 grandchildren, Peggy (Randy) Clark, Fred (Jen) Neubert, John (Leigha) Neubert, Peter (Amanda) Neubert, Laura (Nate) Amodio, Nicky (Steve) Kuehner, Greg (Courtney) Neubert, Joel, Eric and Kelly Neubert, Elizabeth (Tom) Bazan, Jennifer (John) Trocke, Paul Neubert, Jr, Daniel Neubert and Sarah (Kenneth) Bellamy; and 19 great grandchildren.

Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gladys was a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics having served at the former Methodist Hospital and with the private practice of Dr. Callaway in Peoria.

She was a devoted member of Woodland Baptist Church and it’s Women’s Sunday School and Women’s Missionary Fellowship. Along with her husband, Fred, she was very active with Campers on Mission, Wycliffe Associates, hosting Bradley students, teaching ESL, and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.

Upon moving to Peoria, Gladys and Fred resided in the Uplands Neighborhood near Bradley University for many years.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation has been accorded by Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria.
