Goldie was born on January 2, 1936 in Bourbon, Mississippi to Junious and Ellen Salette (Lovins) McGee.
She married Earnest Clark in Decatur, Illinois in 1964. She was baptized at New Salem Baptist Church in Decatur, Illinois. She was also a former member of the New Morning Star Baptist Church in Peoria, Illinois.
She worked as nurse, retiring from Proctor Endowment Home. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with children and family. She also composed a manuscript, yet to be published. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children , Tyrone McGee, Janet McGee (Zeke) Davis, Glenn McGee, Brent McGee, Jacqueline L. (McGee) Wade and Regina Clark. Her siblings, Elvin McGee, Roosevelt (Marilynn) McGee and Charlene (McGee) Young and a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Goldie is proceeded in death by her parents and her husband, a son, Joseph McGee, her sisters, Thelma Peoples, Rosetta King and Brothers, Willie "Preacher" McGee and Charles "Footney" McGee.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 11a at Davison Fulton Woodland Funeral Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery.
