Harold G. Mason

He was born to the late Harold and Mary (Gaylord) Mason on October 30, 1933 in Peoria. He married Jeanette Turner on April 3, 1959 in Lewiston, IL, and she preceded him in death in 2011.

He was also preceded in death by his step-daughter-in-law, Laura Dohm, and step-granddaughter, Shirley J. McGrane.

Harold is survived by his step-son, LeRoy Dohm of Peoria, sister, Shirley Bieneman of Washington, his close friend and neighbor, Larry Donald (Nicole) of West Peoria, step-grandchild, LeRoy Dohm Jr., step-great-grandchildren, Donald L. McGrane, Robert R. McGrane, and Rochelle McGrane, step-great-great-grandchild, Nicholas McGrane, niece, Vicky Peck, and nephews, Carl, Bill, and Tim Bieneman.

Harold served in the United States Navy from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1962. After his discharge, he became a member of the Laborers Union 165 and worked in construction.

He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War #2078, the Navy Club, and the Eagles Club #265, and was a former member of the Arcadia Presbyterian Church.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
