I met Hazel on my first day of work at Daily and Associates as a fresh engineering graduate in 1975. She had a lot of experience working with other engineers (if I remembered correctly, she started working at an engineering firm at age 18). Hazel used that experience to gently push me in the right direction when she knew a better way. Everyone thought that she did not know how to make a typing mistake probably because she learned at an early age the penalty of a mistake when you are pounding the keys to go through 10 sheets of paper and carbons. We were shocked when, after a few months of using a new self-correcting IBM typewriter, she hit the wrong key. Everyone enjoyed her stories about some of the engineers she worked with over her career. Even though we knew we gave her a lot of material to tell stories about us, that was OK since she would tell those stories with love and a laugh. We missed her when she retired and now she will be missed even more.

My thoughts are with you.  I am sorry that current medical circumstances prevent my being with you today.  Aunt Hazel and Uncle Freddy were my favorite aunt and uncle.  She was smart, kind,and forthright.  I will miss her.  Arlene also loved her.

Hazel was in the OSF Arthritis exercise class for many years. I taught the class for many years and became friends with Hazel. She and Willis would walk together before class. When Willis had his stroke, I went to thee hospital to support her. She loved her family and talked about them all time,especially her grandchildren .
One Christmas she have me a  treasured gift. I showed her a pic of my collection of  antique FLO Blue china.  My gift was a FLO Blue plate that she had for many years. Another memory, I mailed a Christmas card in August! I found her card in a book and mailed the card to her with an added message'Christmas in August". She called me and and said she had never received a Christmas card in August!
Dorothy Pugh was in the exercise class. They became friends. Both were widowed and looked after each other.
I was blessed to have known Hazel. She lived a long and wonderful life.

Hazel was in my Arthritis  class for many years.  I remember Willis walking with her before class. Hazel loved her family and would talk about her grandchildren all the time. I was telling Hazel how I collected antique FLO Blue  china from England.  At Christmas time she brought me a gift that I treasure;a Flow Blue plate that she had for many years. 
Dorothy Pugh and her husband were in my exercise too. Hazel and Dorothy became friends through the class. 
One year I found my Christmas card to Hazel in August. I mailed her the card and wrote a note about Christmas in August! She called me and told me she has never received aChristmas card in August!
I have s so many wonderful memories of dear Hazel. She lived a long and wonderful life. I was blessed to have know  Hazel. Holly LeCocq

Dorothy Pugh is recovering from surgery in Florida and does not have a computer.  I would like to send her condolences and a photo of Hazel at Dorothy's 80th birthday party.

Hazel was a good friend to my mother-in-law Dottie Pugh, and we will all miss her.  I remember Hazel checking on Dottie if she did not see her for a day or two when they lived across the street.  I'm so glad we knew Hazel.

So sorry to hear about Aunt Hazel's passing.  I did get to see her a couple years ago with Debbie Stafford.  I wanted to try to come to the visitation but won't be able to make it Wednesday.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, Steve and Family.

I'm so thankful for the time I was able to spend with her.  I know she's happy and whole again now.  My love and prayers are with everyone this week.

My heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found in 1 Thessalonians 4 : 14 can bring you some comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
