Helen Maye Callaway

She was born July 3, 1936 in Armour, S.D. She married Harold Dean Callaway on June 16, 1956 in Santa Cruz, CA; he preceded her in death August 7, 2002 in Peoria.

Her parents, sisters and brother also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her three children, Kim (Lonzo) Brown Jr., Kevin Callaway and Dena (Charles Warren) Lybarger all of Peoria; six grandchildren, Brittinie Stanley, Ira Carrier, Camron Brown, Dameion Brown, Charlotte O'Dell and Audrey Timberlake; nine great-grandchildren, Cara Timberlake, Danni Timberlake, Ethan Timberlake, Brandon Vinson, Sierra Pollitt, Destini Pollitt, Chuntierria Wade, Ja' Khia Wade and Deon Wade.

Helen worked several years at the Bergner's warehouse and last as a cook at the YWCA Tea Room. She was of the Southern Baptist Faith and a past member of the American Legion Women's Auxillary. Helen loved to cook from scratch, crocheting, sewing and going to bingo.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, March 5, 2018 with visitation from 9:30 am until the start of service at Glen Oak Christian Church in Peoria. Rev. Dr. Randy Williams will officiate. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
