Helen M. Herman

She was born on July 9, 1920 in Goodfield, IL to Joseph L. and Caroline (Yoder) Schrock.

She married Raymond H. Herman on December 18, 1940 in Davenport, IA. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2001.

Helen is survived by her children, Joleen Rae (David) Biberstein of Indiana, Paul Howard Herman of California and Mark William ( Margaret) Herman of Brimfield; 8 grandchildren, Ron (Amy) Wagler, Beth (Jeremy) Nicholls, Dathan (Jesmia) Biberstein, Thaddeus Biberstein, Donald (Lupe) Herman, Mallory Herman, Melissa Herman, and Monica (Shawn) Smothers; great-grandchildren, Cyrus, Muriwai, Olive, Josie, Elias, Dee and Helen; and brothers, Ernest Schrock, Joseph Schrock and Edward Schrock.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Gail Marie Wagler; son, Raymond Jay Herman; daughter in law, Anne Herman; brother, William Schrock; and sisters, Marjorie Genung and Minnie Miller.

Helen was a loving mother and grandmother and spent her life taking care of those she loved. She enjoyed reading, crocheting Afghans and she gardened for 97 years. She was well known for her hospitality, often having the family over for meals and celebrating birthdays. She was a long time member of Olivet Missionary Church in Peoria Heights.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woosley-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Rev. Doane Brubaker will officiate. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
