Helen Frances Johnson

She was born January 17, 1944 in Peoria, the daughter of Frank Sylvester and Helen Agatha Pocius Ksycki. She married Richard Lyle Johnson on June 29, 1963 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2001.

Helen is survived by her children, Dr. Michael (and Michelle) Johnson of Dunlap, Denise Johnson of Eureka, and Lisa (and Michael) Eaton of Columbia, MO; nine grandchildren, Tiffany R. (and Nathaniel) Greeley Carty of Jacksonville, FL, Meganne E. (and Sixto) Eaton Montesinos of Columbia, MO, Amanda M. Eaton of Columbia, MO, Robert M. Johnson of Peoria, Sarah A. Johnson of Peoria, Elizabeth E. Brewer of Peoria, Allison P. Brewer of Peoria, Timothy M. Eaton of Columbia, MO, Thomas J. Eaton of Columbia, MO; four sisters, Sister Ruth Ksycki OSB of Rock Island, Adele Ksycki Arnold of Peoria, Anne Ksycki Ensor of Chillicothe, and Marge Ksycki Maroon of West Peoria; one brother, James Ksycki of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded by her parents and one sister, Rosemary Ksycki Dresbach.

Helen was a payroll clerk for Community Workshop and Training Center until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights.

A funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle in Peoria Heights, IL. Msgr. Jason A Gray will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm Friday, September 29, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Cremation will be accorded after the Mass.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sisters of St. Benedict, St. Mary’s Monastery 2200 88th Avenue West, Rock Island, IL. 61201.
