Ida Miller Lane

Ida Lane, 89, of Peoria, Illinois passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center. Ida was born December 17, 1924 in Amboy, IN to Harvey and Fannie (Helmuth) Miller. She married George Lane on February 23, 1962 in Peoria, Illinois.

Ida loved to help people. Most of her life was spent assisting elderly persons in their homes as a home health care assistant. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, sewing, and making homemade pies. Ida was a member of the Lord’s Table Church of God in Bartonville, Illinois, where she was active in all of the church functions.

Surviving is her husband George Lane of Peoria, Illinois, daughter Lisa (Doug) Swisher of Indianapolis, Indiana, four grandchildren; Stephen (Stefani) Coffman of Creve Coeur, Illinois, Melissa (Ryan) Schrader of Indianapolis, Indiana, Melissa (Carlos) Alicea of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Michael (April) Swisher of Lafayette, Indiana, and two great grandchildren Gage and Allie. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and one sister.

Services will be held at 10 am Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. Todd Shaw will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
