She was born July 27, 1952 in Peoria to James R. and Lillian (Keyes) Rindfleisch. She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her mother of Peoria, one brother, James I. (Kathy) Rindfleisch of Peoria, one niece, Melanie (David) Schaafsma of Bloomington, one nephew, Kyle Rindfleisch of Peoria, two great-nieces: Rylee and Marisa Schaafsma and two great-nephews: Drew and Cole Schaafsma.
Irene was a 1970 graduate of Limestone Community High School. She last worked at the Peoria Children’s Home. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Peoria and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Irene’s life will be Tuesday, Sep. 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Rev. Steven Tibbetts will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
