Irene Marie Wolstenholme

Irene Marie Porter Wolstenholme of Bellevue, IL passed away March 2, 2024 in Peoria, IL surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law. Irene was born on May 7, 1938 in Hobart, OK the daughter of Woodrow and Elsie (Dawson) Porter. Irene grew up in San Diego, CA and met her first husband Melvin Delicath who was serving in the Navy there. Later she married Harry Wolstenholme in Peoria, IL.

Irene is survived by two children, Allan Delicath of Peoria and Sharon Marie (Kevin) Powell of Mapleton; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Elwanda (Walt) Wiezerbicki; and her brother, Woody (Susie) Porter both of San Diego; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Lee Delicath; one brother, Harvey Porter; and both parents, all of San Diego.

Irene loved country music, Mexican food and most of all dancing. She cherished going to parties and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her greatest memories are camping with Harry and spending time with her camping friends. She spent 10 vacations with her daughter on Tybee Island, GA. She will forever be on Tybee Time.

Irene’s memorial service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Her memorial visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm also on Saturday at the funeral chapel.
