He was born on November 21, 1945 in Peoria to Reginald “Tic” and Jean (Smith) Weaver.
He married Sharon Nader on April 16, 1977 in Kickapoo. She survives.
Jack is also survived by one daughter, Kristen (Mark) Valenty of Dallas, TX; one son, Jeff Weaver of Peoria; one grandson, Joey Valenty of Dallas, TX; three nieces, Wendy (Dave) Sparks of Edmond, OK, Stacey Dixon of Dunlap and Jamie (Jason) Shanahan of Dracut, MA; and two loyal companions, his golden retrievers Lily and Sophie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda Van Beuning.
Jack was the co-owner and butcher at Weaver’s Meat Market. After the closing of Weaver’s, he worked at Terminix until he retired.
Jack was known for his sense of humor. He would always greet everyone with a witty welcome. He was a diehard Cardinals fan and an avid Chicago Bears fan. Jack loved spending time at the pool in the summer and being outside. Most of all his favorite role was being “Papa” to his grandson, Joey and his grand dogs Lily and Sophie.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. Chaplain Scot Shelburne will officiate.
