I was the pastor at Howett Street Christian Church in Peoria from 1995 to 2000. My wife, Diane, and I knew Jim's Mom, Kittie, very well, and that is how we met Jim. Over the years, Diane and I would frequently bump into Jim at different places, and he was always just the nicest person you could ever know. Our prayers are with all of his family.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was kind and I enjoyed talking with him when he would come to the office. He always had a story to tell.

Hi Debra and family. We became friends years ago in the Adams Furniture days. Your dad always had this awesome smile and was so much fun to talk with. Jim, Dad, Charlie and Grandpa all made an awesome team. The good ole days make me smile. I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was a great guy. I hope old memories will help you through this very tough time. Hugzzzz my old friend! I can just see them all together now...WOW! Holly (Long) Griffin.

I had the honor and privilege of accompanying Jim as his guardian on the Honor Flight to Washington DC May 5, 2015. I have been to be able to get to know Jim even better by spending early mornings with him at his favorite breakfast place. I will miss him greatly but consider myself fortunate to have had Jim in my life even if it was just for a short time. My thoughts and prayers to out to Brian and Debra.
