

He was born August 21, 1957 in Beardstown, IL to Jim and Jessie Fox. He was the oldest in his family. He is survived by Andy Fox, Kenny Fox form Beardstown, and Lori Fox form Indiana. Jay’s family was involved in the entertainment industry. He also had a step-dad names Jack Lindahl.
Jay liked to go to McDonald’s, Hardee’s and Steak-N-Shake. Jay met David Schricker at PARC on Rohmann in 1990. He befriended David and was a special help to David when his family had a daughter Annamaire who experienced severe birth trauma leading to cerebral palsy. Jay liked to attend Redeemer Lutheran Church when he was in town visiting his adopted family. He was a special friend and big brother to David’s children Charlotte, Grant, Abigail, Annamarie, and Breana.
Jay was well loved and cared for by The Loft of East Peoria, from fellow residents and staff. Jay also felt well cared for by the Vitas Hospice team. David and Jay both express our thanks for his excellent end-of-life care everyone provided.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to one of Jay’s passions, Redeemer Lutheran Church Youth Ministry.
