James R. Lytle

He was born on March 10, 1928 in Circleville, OH to Leonard and Gladys (DeLong) Lytle. He married Mary L. Beck on June 13, 1954 in Circleville, Ohio.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Lytle of Peoria, two sons, James R and Jonathan R. both of Peoria and one daughter, Mary E. (Alex) Gibb of Houston, TX. Also surviving are two grandchildren, James and Mackenzie Gibb both of Houston, TX

James graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Engineering and was a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois. He worked for Caterpillar Inc. and retired after 33 years of service.

He served in the U.S Army in Korea and retired from the U.S. Air Force reserves as a Major after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Bradley Epworth United Methodist Church in Peoria and served the church in several capacities.

A funeral service will be on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 5:30 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Pastor Tom Eckhart will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the service and burial of the urn will be at a later date at Forest Cemetery in Circleville, OH.
