He was born June 25, 1946 in Peoria to James P. and Opal L. (LeMaster) McGuire. He married Ruth Butler on March 5, 1966 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Gary (Kathy) McGuire of Canton and Connie (Brent) Klusman of Peoria Heights; eight grandchildren, Dennis McGuire, Bryent and Cody Klusman and, Ty, Trisha, April, Trinity and Hannah McGuire; his great grandson, Gage Michael McGuire and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dorothy B. McIntosh.
Jim was a meatcutter having worked at Raber Packing Company and Alwan’s, both in Peoria.
He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights.
A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at the family home and friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from Noon to 5:00 pm. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is assisting the family with cremation.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
