Jan led a quiet life in the country where she was happiest working outside with her dogs. She had a love of animals and gardening. She was a nurse for 39 years at OSF and Proctor Hospitals. Her last few years she worked for a Peoria cardiologist.
Surviving are her relatives: sister Linn (Dave) Turnis, nephew Nathan (Jennifer) Turnis, niece Meghan (Jack) McGehee, as well as her great nephew Brayden Turnis.
Preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Julia O'Toole, as well as her sister Kate O'Toole.
Private burial rights are being accorded.
