Peoria - Joann DeHaven, 89, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on January 14, 1931 in Peoria to Herbert L. and Corrine I. (Smith) Wombacher. She married Robert G. DeHaven on July 10, 1949 in Peoria, he preceded her in death on February 20, 2002 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lilah Psinas; and an infant brother.
Joann is survived by her two children, Linda Lee (Ben) Casey of Princeville and Robert R. DeHaven of Edelstein; three grandchildren, Kim Casey, Kara Villines, and Brian Casey; six great-grandchildren, Josie and William Casey, Lilah and Ophelia Villines, and Sharlotte Casey and Daniel Boehm.
Joann was a member of University United Methodist Church, where she served many years as a Sunday school teacher.
Joann's funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2020 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Rev. Ethan L. Carnes will officiate. Her visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. also on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Susan G. Komen or a charity of donor’s choice.
