John A. Grassi

John A. Grassi, 53, of Edwards, IL passed away at his home, Thursday July 3, 2014. John was born November 21, 1960 to Salvatore and Mary (Sabino) Grassi. He married Cheryl Wagenbach on September 17, 1989 in Princeville, Illinois. She survives. He is also survived by: Children; Jason Grassi of Magdalena, Mexico, Janelle Grassi, of Edwards, IL, Clayton Grassi of Edwards, IL, Mother; Mary Grassi of Jamestown, NY, sisters; Kathy Moore of Jamestown, NY, and Marie Wood of Durham, NC, Parents-in-law; Lawrence and Elaine Wagenbach of Princeville, IL, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Father, Brother; James Grassi, and Brothers-in-law; George Moore and David Caronia. In 1989, John had a life changing experience. He began his walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. He was faithful and showed the love of Jesus Christ, his savior in his life. John worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company as an Engineer for 26 years. He was a loving father, and delighted in spending time with his family. He also loved to sing, and attend different church activities. A funeral service for John will be held Monday July 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM at The Peoria Apostolic Christian Church, with the church ministers officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday July 6, 2014 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home from 2-4 PM and also 6-8 PM. An additional visitation will be from 9-9:45 AM at the church, prior to the service. Burial will held in The Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.
