

He was born April 1, 1924 in Nokomis, Il to Mike Sr. and Elizabeth (Sipick) Kosko. He married Geraldine O’Shaughnessy Aug. 7, 1948 in Peoria. She passed away Aug. 6, 2009 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Mike Kosko, Jr, and one sister Betty Bertolani.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane (Dale) Littlejohn of Peoria, two sons: Steve (Jennie) Kosko of Peoria, Edward (Jan) Kosko of Peoria, seven grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Laura Kosko, Ryan Littlejohn, Patrick (Divine) Kosko, Lisa (Jeffrey) Maxwell, Douglas Tolle, three great-grandchildren: Lauren, Brogan, Lainee, and two sisters: Irene Jachino of Nokomis, and Ann Franke of Chicago.
John was a WWII Army Veteran and was a Machinist at Caterpillar, Inc. for over 30 years retiring in 1977.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be Thursday Oct. 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Additional visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the services at Resurrection Mausoleum.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum with military honors.
Memorials may be made to Lutheran Hillside Village, Alzheimer’s Association-Peoria Chapter, or Senior World.
