John R. Lock

.John R. Lock, 74, of Freeport, Illinois, formerly of Peoria, Illinois died Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Freeport, Illinois. He was born on July 13, 1940 in Peoria, Illinois. He was the son of Russell and Margaret (Lee) Lock.

He is survived by five children, John R. Lock of Austin, Texas, Margaret (Ajri) Demirali of Germantown Hills, Illinois, Cynthia (Matthew) Noesen of Freeport, Illinois, Amanda Lock of Peoria, Illinois and James Lock of Freeport, Illinois. He has several grandchildren. He has three sisters, Rosemary Glaser, Margaret (Tom) Hopwood and Jeannie Brasfield. He also has 3 half-sisters, Shirley Tucker, Sharon Stephens and Margie Lou (Jim) Suggs. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David Lock and one half-brother, Ed Smith.

He was a self- employed handyman for many years. He was an Army Viet Nam veteran and loved playing his guitar.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 26, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
