Hey Grandpa! It's been over a year since I wrote on here but I think about you often. Thank you for watching over us and Grandma! I miss you a lot and it saddens me that I almost forget how you sound. But I remember your laugh and your smile.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you brother. I miss you so much, but the memory of you will remain with me forever. I am getting stronger each day, and I can walk a short distant without my cane. Soon I will be able to walk without any assistant. Thank you Lord for the time you allowed me to have with my brother.  He was special, and there will never be another like him. My dear brother, only God understands what is in my heart.  Yesterday was a very difficult day for me because I am reminded of that special something that I did not understand and Lords willing, never will.   However, I thank God for the last three conversations that I had with you my last being on November 17th.   I thank God for all the things that you shared with me that last week of your life here on earth; during the time you were sharing it, I never gave much thought but when I learned you were gone, then I understood it all.  I thank God for that special bond that we had from the beginning on through the end.   We could and did talk about everything and you were one of my top supporters and now I think of some of the wonderful words of encouragement that you shared with me.  I was Pud to you and God knows what is in my heart that I cannot post here but know that you are truly, truly missed.  There is hardly a day that goes by that I don't think of you or even say your name to someone.  One day I will see you again.  Your sister, Pud.

Hey Grandpa, I miss you dearly! It has already been a year but it seems like yesterday I received the terrible news. As I write this my eyes feel up with tears. They are tears of joy and sadness, sad because you left too soon and joy because you are in heaven with our heavenly father. I have two children now so I'm going to need you to look over us. My son was laughing so hard one day and no one was playing with him, but I truly believe it when they say an Angel was playing with him.....thanx. I love and miss you dearly.

Daddy,  the last year has been tough without you, but God has shown His mercy through out the tough days.  He has also granted â€œMomâ€ with favor during this time of missing you.  One of the things I will treasure always are the words you spoke to us when we were kids, and it is paying off as an adult. Hey grandpa,its been a little over a year now and it still feels like a bad dream I can't wake up from. I miss u sooo much and Rj looks for u when we go over ur house. I tell him to go outside and look up and wave for u r in heaven now with our father. I sit back and think of how when I was little and u would come home from work and put one hand over the other and pop your hand and say heeey pop eye!! Only if I could turn back the hands of time just to feel your hand on my head and u say heeey pop eye when u come home from work,or as I grew up and would call over there and I would say heeey grandpa and u would reply heeey coy!!!! I miss and love u so much grandpa.

MISSING DADDY'S CALL ON MY BIRTHDAY

Every year â€œDaddyâ€ would make his rounds of phone calls wishing us a â€œHappy Birthdayâ€. My birthday was the first call to start the rounds. Since my birthday falls on â€œGroundhog Dayâ€, instead of him saying â€œHappy Birthdayâ€ he would always ask me if I saw my shadow and then he would laugh.  I would always answer by saying â€¦ â€œif I stand in the right spot,  I would see my shadowâ€.  And then he would laugh!  

I'm gonna miss those calls â€œDaddyâ€. I will be standing in just the right spot .... not looking for my shadow this time, but remembering and missing your phone call.  R.I.P. â€œDaddyâ€, I love you!
