Joyce was born October 14, 1936 to Ross and Lucille (Pratt) Porter of Brimfield, IL. She married Ralph E. Kingdon on May 25, 1953 in Brimfield, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are their five children, Norma (Bill) Hoffman, Patricia Baggott, Laurel (Tony) Heinz, Bret (Lisa Gann) Kingdon, and Julie (Kevin) Bevard; thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Other survivors include one sister, Phyllis (Fred) Heinz and one brother, Dennis (Susie) Porter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Alan Porter; daughter-in-law, Karen, and son-in-law, Joe.
Joyce was a member of White Rose Fellowship Church in Bellevue where she was very involved in church activities and several mission trips. She enjoyed traveling, camping, bowling, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
A funeral service will be at 11 am on Thursday, April 11, 2024 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Burial will follow the service at the Brimfield Township Cemetery in Brimfield.
