She was born Aug. 9, 1937 in Peoria to Merle and Eliza (Hardy) Huff, Sr. She married John “Roger” Slama on March 2, 1957 in Peoria. He survives along with five children: Becky (Mike) Hall of Bartonville, Steve Binegar of Pottstown, Roger (Karen) Slama of Peoria, Kenneth (Connie) Slama of Morton, Deborah (Gary) Taylor of Peoria seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Judy (Ron) Brown of Fort Myers, FL, and three brothers: Merle “Sonny” (Judy) Huff of Bartonville, Russell (Nancy) Huff of Broken Arrow, OK, and Vernon (Kathy) Huff of Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and seven sisters.
Juanita was co-owner and head bookkeeper for Slama Disposal in Bellevue for 47 years.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 14, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the Illinois Cancer Center on Rt. 91.
