Judith D. “Judy” Emert Burton, 75, of Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born in Peoria on December 9, 1946, a daughter of LeRoy Louis and LaVonne C. (Rouleau) Emert. Judy married William G. Burton and he later preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Judy is survived by her sister, Lisa Emert of Peoria, with whom she lived with; two brothers, Randall (Dianna) Emert, Sr. of Peoria and Burleigh Emert, both of Peoria; step-sister, Diane (John) Maddox of Peoria; two nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and her beloved cats, Oliver and Mia.
She was a graduate of Peoria High School Class of 1964.
Judy really enjoyed going to OSF Senior World in Peoria, reading, and spending time with her cats. Judy’s family would like to thank the staff of OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home for their loving care for her.
There will be no service. Cremation has been entrusted to the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
