She was born on September 28, 1943 in Peoria to Elmer and Ruth (Gebhardt) Doty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Schmidgall; stepfather, John D. Sleeth; and granddaughter, Jessie D. Rubnich. Surviving are her mother, Ruth Sleeth; two children, Tamara (Jeff) Rubnich and Timothy J. (Angela) Schmidgall Sr.; three grandchildren, Tim Jr., Tyler and Jon; and her beloved cat, Abby. Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life and burial of the urn will be at a later date. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Hanna City Volunteer Fire Department.
