She was born Sep. 11, 1946 in Kewanee, IL to Charles and Veronica (Sabotta) Gedville. She first married Michael Button and later married Charles Swearingen. He preceded her in death along with one son, Jeff Button, and one infant granddaughter.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Oakley of Pekin, one son, Richard Button of St. Louis, MO, two grandsons, Justin Hayward and Christopher Hayward, both of Pekin, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Rita Willard of California, Carol Reising of Illinois.
Judy was known by many throughout the years of her life in a variety of ways. She first worked as a waitress at Howard Johnsons, and later a security Guard at Szolds, and then worked at UFS for over thirty years until her retirement.
She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She wished to forgo a formal funeral service so a private remembrance will be done by the family. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
