Julia Karen "Julie" Whittaker, 80, of Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at UnityPoint Health - Methodist in Peoria. She was born on March 14, 1942 in Peoria, a daughter of Price A. and Mary E. (Williams) Hendryx. Julie married Ronald "Ron" Whittaker on November 18, 1961 in Peoria. He survives.
Julie is also survived by her three children, Traig (Laura) Whittaker of Towanda, Trent (Sally) Whittaker of Kearney, NE, and Trisha (Brian) Shouse of Peoria; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Becky (Dick) Wagler; and brother, Scott (Sue) Hendryx.
Julie graduated from Richwoods High School in Peoria in 1960.
She last worked as an administrative assistant at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Julie previously had worked at WABCO, Richwoods High School, and for Peoria Public School District 150 in the Administration Building.
Julie was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She was a passionate quilter and enjoyed the fellowship she shared with the Grace Quilters at church.
Julie's funeral service will be private. Her visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
