Karen Ann Lowery

She was born in Peoria, to Herbert and Doris (Thompson) Maxey. She married Dustin Lowery on October 20, 1978 in Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving are her three children, Stephanie Ann (Stephen) Goldring of Canton, IL, Priscilla Ann Lowery of Milan, IL and Dustin Charles Lowery of Republic, MO; five grandchildren, Oliver Lowery, Obadiah Coulter, Tyler, Sarah and Ava Goldring; and two siblings, Carol Cowart and Herb Maxey Jr. both of Nashville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, James Maxey, Janet Bell, Allen Maxey, Helen "Dolly" Storms.

Karen worked for Caterpillar Inc for many years, in the Benefits Department and then in IT before retiring in 2015. She enjoyed cross stitch, following her children's sporting events and helping with arts and crafts sales at Calvin Coolidge School. Karen was a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop Leader and helped keep score for her husbands softball team.

Cremation will be accorded and a Private graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
