Kenneth Milton Knox, 92, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at his residence. Ken was born on March 21, 1933 to his parents, Milton and Emily (nee Fox) Knox in Colchester, IL. They preceded him in death, along with a brother, Walt, and a sister, Maxine.
Ken met Shirley J. Turpin and they married on August 21, 1959 in Peoria, IL. They went on to have two daughters, Vickey Knox and Cheryl Knox. Also surviving are four grandchildren, William (Jennifer) Blumenshine, Jennifer (Aiki) Hooks, Amanda Knox, and Courtney Knox; 13 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Hank.
Ken was a Navy veteran and served his country in the Korean War. He was a lifelong truckdriver, driving for companies such as Super Value, PABST, RJ Distributing, BOSCH, United , Amerhardt, before finally retiring as a proud Teamster.
A celebration of Ken's life will take place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 12-3pm at American Legion Post 979 in Bartonville. Military rites will be at 1pm during the celebration of life. A private inurnment will follow in Lutheran Cemetery.
