He was born February 25, 1935 in Bloomington Il to Chester L. and Ola Mae (Blan) Fowler. He married Grace Wick June 25, 1961, in Bloomington Il. She passed away July 21, 2022 in Peoria. He is also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and one infant grandson.
Surviving are two children, Steve (Mickey) Fowler, Frankfort Il. Pam (Bob) Rafferty, Trivoli Il. Four grandchildren Stephanie Goldsby, St. Louis MO, Samantha Fowler, Chicago Il, Justin Goldsby, Carbondale Il, Michael Fowler, Chicago Il.
Larry was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as Sp4th class in Orleans, France from 1957 to 1959. He retired from Rohn Manufacturing in February 2000. He later was employed at Affina.
He is a member of University United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria Il, with Rev. Craig Hislope officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Swan Lake Chapel mausoleum with military honors.
