Leroy Wright Sr.

He was born February 20, 1964 in Bolivar Co., MS to Lillian and Dorothy Mae (Otis) Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, Dorothy Davis, Charlie Wright and Myrtle Wright, and special nephew, Lamont Wright.

Surviving is his wife of 40+ years, Margaret of Peoria, his five children, Tracie (Richard) Landrith of Peoria, Leroy (Kara) Wright Jr. of West Point, GA, DomMonique (Johnathan) Macklin of Parrish, FL, Bianca Wright and Jeremy Wright both of Peoria; special nephew, Michael Wright of Peoria; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Also surviving are seven siblings, J.B. (Sue) Wright of Flint, MI, Peggy Bailey of Houston, TX, Queen Wright of Peoria, Lillian Wright of Decatur, Joann Irby of Houston, TX, JoNathan (Trudy) Wright of Chillicothe, and Mary Ann Wright of Decatur, IL; and a host of nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly.

Leroy worked in the maintenance dept. at Sharon Healthcare for many years and as a mechanic working out of his garage. He enjoyed working on cars, racing cars, and spending time with family. He was able to fix anything and was known as a "jack of all trades". Leroy loved taking care of others and had a great love for dogs. He was a friend to all and will be remembered for his kind heart,

A funeral service will be at 11 am on Saturday, May 20, 2023 with visitation one hour prior to the service at The Church of the Living God, Temple 130 in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
