He was born June 22, 1956 in Peoria to Benjamin and Marilyn (Whittaker) Bishop. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Ben (Bev) Bishop of Canton, one daughter, Sarah Hamilton of Creve Coeur, three sisters: Debbie (Kenny) Fetters of Bloomington, Diane Bishop of Peoria, Denise (Larry) Kucavik of Metamora, five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, one son, William Bishop, one daughter, Nicole Bishop, and one sister, Linda Bishop
Lester was a United States Marine Veteran. He was a truck driver and scrap collector in the Peoria area.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the family to help cover funeral expenses.
